Artist: Fran van der Hoeven

Fran van der Hoeven (Nijmegen, 1948) was educated at the Amsterdamse Grafische School (1968-1972) and Rijksakademie Amsterdam (1973-1977). Afterwards he photographed for several theater companies such as Hauser Orkater, Mexicaanse Hond, Het Nationaal Toneel and ‘t Barre Land. He was editor photographer and writer for music magazine ‘Vinyl’ and photo magazines ‘Plaatwerk’, ‘Hollands Licht’ and columnist for PhotoQ.nl.

Over the years his work was exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (1978), Maria Austria Instituut (1980), Kunsthal Rotterdam (1994), Nederlands Foto Instituut (2003), Fotomuseum Den Haag (2007), Galerie 2 ½ x 4 ½ (1997 & 2007), Melkweg Galerie (2012).
